A Crystal Palace for … Anywhere

Have you ever dreamed of being Queen Victoria at the Crystal Palace, comfortably enjoying nature while not actually being exposed to the elements? With these crazy bubble tents, you can!

You can connect them to your house, piping heat or cold air, depending on the season. You can dance in the rain, without getting wet. You can pretend you are Louis XIV, commanding oranges from the greenhouse in the dead of winter, because, well, you feel like having something exotic and you can because you’re the freaking sun king.

Sure, you can take it glamping, but it does have the problem of privacy. Getting dressed in your Prius isn’t difficult, but it can be if your Prius is full of stuff. Having everyone watch me while I sleep isn’t really my thing either, but it would make a nice place to enjoy dinner without mosquitoes or do some star gazing.

If you live in an apartment or rent a home, having a small greenhouse that you can take with you when you move is awesome. You don’t need permission to install it because you aren’t making modifications to the property.

Bubble tents aren’t cheap. They start at around $800, but if money is no object, or you can save up for a bit, this could be a great way to live in a small place while adding year-round, liveable (entertainment or play space), without having to move.

Or you could just show off to the other folks who are winter camping, and show them you really are the sun king!
