Tiny Prius Travel – The Beginning

I’ve been a traveler since I was two months old, when my parents took me on a road trip to Mexico in our VW Bus, and since then I’ve loved meeting people and seeing the world.

Some of my travels took much planning, others have been spur of the moment, and all of them have been on a small budget, even when I stayed in fancy hotels. I’ve traveled on tiny budgets to over 40 countries and most of the United States. I’ve traveled with big heavy backpacks, and with as little as two dresses, a child tent, and a yoga mat!

Through all of my travels I’ve learned that wonderful experiences don’t have to cost a fortune. You just have to be flexible, and open to living like the locals. Many amazing experiences are often free if you’re in the right place at the right time.

Traveling in my Prius has been an awesome way to see America, and to share beautiful places with family. I’ve crossed the country 4 times, exploring I-80, I-40, I-10, I-5, and many other interstates and local roads. I’ve loved exploring the national parks, the cheesey sights of route 66, and art museums from coast to coast.

Budget travel is a way to live as a minimalist for a short period of time. It helps you focus on what you value and what you truly need to be happy.

So thank you for reading my blog and sharing my travels. I hope it will encourage you to go out on your own, make friends, explore the local eats, sit in the cafe, and enjoy life to the fullest!
